  • Zinc gluconate, D-biotin, copper sulphate, sodium selenite, methylcobalamin, manganese gluconate: These are the names of zinc, biotin, copper, selenium, vitamin B12 and manganese in the ingredients list.
  • Maltodextrin: A carbohydrate made from starch, used here as a carrier.

There is no anti-caking agent on the list. This capsule does not need one.

Take 2 capsules daily (1 in the morning and 1 in the evening) with liquid (at least 200 ml of water).

10,000 µg of biotin is 200 times the reference intake. That is common for beauty products, but it has a practical consequence. Biotin can interfere with laboratory test results, so inform medical staff before every blood test. You'll also need patience: a fingernail takes four to six months to grow back completely.

Biotin is a B vitamin and is also called vitamin B7. It used to be called vitamin H, with the H referring to the German words for skin and hair.

Hair and nails consist mostly of keratin, a protein with a particularly high proportion of the sulphur-containing amino acid cysteine. Skin, on the other hand, gets its structure mainly from collagen.

Hair grows about one centimetre a month. A fingernail grows back completely in four to six months; a toenail takes considerably longer. So if you want to change something about your hair or nails, think in months, not weeks.
